The service
StationClerk is software that reads public data from the FCC’s Online Public Inspection File and helps radio and TV stations prepare their Quarterly Issues/Programs Lists. The free check and the paid “Desk” are described on this site.
Not affiliated with the FCC; not legal advice
StationClerk is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Federal Communications Commission. Nothing on this site, in a check, a list, a report, a PDF or an email is legal advice. Check results describe what the FCC’s public data shows; they are not findings about whether any station meets any rule. Dates such as due dates, license terms and renewal filing dates are computed from the FCC’s rules and data; confirm them with your communications counsel.
Your responsibilities
- Your station is responsible for its own public inspection file, the content and accuracy of its lists, and uploading them on time. StationClerk doesn’t file anything for you.
- Review every list and PDF before you use it, including any text suggested by the optional AI drafting feature.
- Use the Desk only for stations you’re authorized to act for, and keep your email account secure: sign-in links go to it.
Accuracy and availability
The check depends on the FCC’s data and on file names; it can miss lists filed in other folders, renamed or moved, and the FCC’s site can be unavailable. Reminders are a convenience: a missed or late email doesn’t change your station’s deadlines. We work to keep the service running but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted.
Subscriptions and payment
The Desk costs $19 per station per month or $190 per station per year. Payment is by card through Stripe’s checkout; Link (Stripe’s checkout service) sells on our behalf and handles any sales tax, and the price shown is the total. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account; the Desk stays available until the end of the paid period. See cancellation and refunds.
Acceptable use
Don’t use automated tools to run checks in bulk, try to get around limits, or use the service to harass or mislead anyone about a station.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren’t liable for fines, forfeitures or other consequences of a station’s public file.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest check. Continuing to use the Desk after a change means you accept it.
