A series of crashes at the Highway 12 and Main Street intersection led residents to call for a traffic signal. The station’s programming covered the crash data the police department released, the city council’s decision and how residents could comment on the state road plan.

Issue 2: Heat and the cooling center

An extended heat wave in July and August put older residents and outdoor workers at risk. Programming shared heat safety information, the county cooling center’s hours and how to check on neighbors.
